  • checkWash the soap out of the wet fabric and dip in clean water. You can also use a clean fabric. Squeeze out water from the clean fabric and wipe the soap away from the machine. Dip the fabric in clean water as needed and keep wiping the outside of the device until you get the clean effect you desire.

Choosing the right oil for your deep fryer is half battle won. Once you know the type of oil you want to use, you will need to fill up the fryer with it, taking care not to over-fill or under-fill it. If you have a model that have a minimum or maximum fill line, it becomes even easier as you have a ready gauge to guide your measurement.

How to Clean the Reservoir?

2. Turn it on and start operating

Before you start cleaning, unplug the dispenser from the power unit and allow it to cool down. Do not clean the device while it is still hot to avoid getting scalded.

  • If the bottle is still on the machine, remove it and set it aside. Ensure you cover the bottle if you still have water in it.
  • Check the reservoir to see if there is water in it and drain off the water using spigots. You can also tip over the dispenser over your kitchen sink if you can. There are some dispensers that come with drainer at the rear. If yours has it, then remove the cap and use it.
  • If possible remove the reservoir to clean it. You might need to remove its cover and disconnect some clips to remove it. You have to be careful in your handling. Take the reservoir out gently and wash it. Remove other accessories (if possible) from it before washing it. In case it is irremovable, you can pour boiling water or wash with warm soapy water. Rinse with clean water when done.

To start using your device, you need to turn it on by plugging it in and using the switch button to power it up. After that, set the temperature and time and ensure that you obtain the right level of temperature for the oil without going over that. You also need to maintain a temperature between 350 degrees F and 375 degrees F which is the suitable range for most of the cooking you will be doing. If your device comes with a thermostat, you don't have to bother too much about the temperature as it will automatically determine the correct temperature. However, if it doesn't come with one, you may have to get yourself a thermometer to select the right temperature for the oil.
