Assuming you have all you need to carry out the installation, the first step should be deciding the exact place on the wall where you intend to install the radiator. Once you have made this decision, start off by marking the wall with the help of a template to draw the position of the radiator. Don’t worry, the template is usually supplied together with the radiator in the package.
The second step is to drill four holes on the marked space. To do this, first inspect the place you intend to drill to ascertain that there are no pipes or electric cables running underneath. Once you have established the absence of pipes and cables, use the template once again to mark where you are going drill the four holes. After that, attach the drill bits and before you start the actual drilling, put on the safety goggles . The goggles need to be worn the whole time you’ll be drilling.
After the four holes have been drilled in the right position, fix the wall plugs and then align the mounting brackets with the holes ready followed by the screws. Now use the screw driver to hold the brackets securely on the wall.
Once the brackets have been held securely on the wall, it is time to hang the radiator on to them. Make sure the radiator is horizontally positioned and not tilted at all.

At this point, you are almost done with the entire process. Safety screws are not always provided in the package but for most of electric wall-mounted radiators, they are present. The safety screws ensure the radiator is firm and sturdy on the brackets. They are usually fastened from the top of brackets and you can always tell if the radiator is firm enough based on the resistance on the screwdriver when you are screwing in the safety screws.
The oil-filled radiator comes with an electric cable that is approximately 1.5m long. After installing the radiator to the wall brackets, plug it into the nearest 13-amp socket and then turn it on.
As you can see, the installation process for a wall-mounted oil-filled radiator is pretty simple and can take less than 10 minutes at most. What is more, you don’t really need to have professional skills to do it and you can get everything done all by yourself. Just be sure to observe all the safety precautions and everything will be smooth. Please note that some models may have a slightly different installation procedure but the difference is going to be almost negligible.
