"Does the job OK. All of the Hozelock fittings needed to attach the reel and hose to a garden tap are included. The (self-assembly) hose guide doesn't feel very robust. As others have noted you don't need to disassemble the inlet connector in the centre of the reel to attach the anti-kink spring and hose."

"Great product- worst instructions ever"
"Product itself works great; doesn’t leak, well built, good quality. Instructions, however, are a joke. Printed on the box rather than an included sheet, they do not relate to the product, refer to nuts and bolts that are actually screws- parts list does not match. There is an anti-kink spring included but no instructions on how to use it and not shown on instructions. There is reference on the instructions to a mounting template, which is not included, 2 of the steps, on a different flap on the box, appear unnecessary and relate to a completely different product. Shame to get the product right and then do such a poor job with the instructions."

"Put the fittings attached to the frame"
"Product as described, however it would have been far more sensible to have found a way of attaching the hose to tap fitments to the framework of the cart, instead of sellotaped to the centre of the drum. The way you present the cart means all 50m of hose have to be unrolled to reach the attachments, then the whole thing rolled back up again stupid? One other point people may not think of when buying is 50m of hose full of water is a damn site heavier than you realise, this you soon find out when re-winding the hose to put it away."

"Very good hose for the price."
"This is a like-for-like replacement of a Hozelock reel that I've had for at least 15 years so confident it will last. It was beginning to show its age though and recently had to cut off split sections so was starting to get shorter than I need. It's still fine as an extension though. This is a bit more discrete colour than my old bright yellow hose on green reel, so looks better left out but time will tell if that means I keep tripping over it! The only other difference between them is that the tap connection hose now clicks on to the reel with a connector rather than permanently linked which means it will be easier to connect the second hose to it. Easy to assembly - I managed it fine without having to bother with undoing the screws. No leaks. Just take the whole hose off to get the parts."

"I left it in the sun"
"I was hopeful as I trust this brand but I'm sad to say I've had a small tear in the outer part of the hose. It may well have been my fault, I left it out in the sun and connected to a sprinkler. When I came to put it away at the end of the day, the end connected to the sprinkler had bulged and contorted in a way that caused this small tear. However I would think this is still within normal use so I'm rather surprised. It hasn't started leaking yet so I'll probably just cut this section out and just shorten the hose slightly. Evening else in the kit has been fantastic."
