Started first time and easy to put together. If you have mobility problems you may struggle with the speed at which this lawnmower moves. However the self propelling can be disengaged. "Great mower"

"Excellent, self propelled mower, it really takes the work out of mowing. It's easy to fill, service and maintain as everything is accessible."

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 September 2023

"A fabulous deal."

"I bought this because my grass is on lumpy ground and I often leave it 2 or 3 weeks before cutting it again. Electric/battery mowers were hopeless. This is beautifully packed and once constructed you really notice how well it's made. It's got a 4 stroke engine and has a more powerful engine that a lot of motorbikes. You have to be pretty strong to use it, it self propells and will pull you along. But it is a strong petrol lawnmower. My ony critisism is that you have to have the 'knack' to starting it. 2 squirts of fuel from the primer and then a really strong pull on the cord to allow the engone to revolve fully and she's off. I'm a mechanic so it took me about 30 seconds to work that out. Buy one, they're awesome value. As it's Hyundai, it'll go on forever."

Why are petrol lawnmowers better than their alternatives?

Now, you might be wondering, "Why should I choose a petrol mower over other options like electric or battery-powered ones?" Let me tell you, my friends, petrol mowers have some real advantages that make them stand out from the crowd:

  1. Power and performance: First and foremost, petrol lawn mowers pack a punch! They tend to be more powerful than their electric or battery-powered counterparts, which means they can handle thicker grass, uneven terrain, and larger lawns with ease. Who wouldn't want a mower that can tackle any challenge thrown its way?
  2. No cords or battery limits: With a petrol mower, you're free from the hassle of cords and the limited runtime of battery-powered models. No more worrying about finding an extension cable or having to stop midway to recharge! Isn't it nice to have the freedom to roam your garden without any constraints?
  3. Versatility: Petrol mowers come in various styles, such as push mowers, self-propelled mowers, and even ride-on mowers for those with larger gardens. So, whether you've got a small patch of grass or a sprawling estate, there's a petrol mower that's perfect for your needs.
  4. Durability: Generally, petrol mowers are built to last. With proper maintenance, these reliable machines can serve you for many years, making them a great investment for your garden.

Consideration points when buying a petrol lawnmower:

Now that we've established why petrol mowers are a fantastic choice, let's discuss the key factors to consider when choosing the best one for you:

  1. Engine power: The engine is the heart of your mower, so make sure to choose one with enough power to handle your lawn's size and grass type. Generally, the more powerful the engine, the easier it'll be to cut through tough grass and tackle inclines.
  2. Cutting width and height: Different mowers have varying cutting widths and height adjustments. A wider cutting deck will help you mow your lawn faster, but it might be less manoeuvrable in tight spaces. Also, consider a mower with multiple height settings, so you can adjust it according to your lawn's needs and desired grass length.
  3. Self-propelled or push: A self-propelled mower can be a lifesaver if you have a large lawn or find it difficult to push a mower for long periods. However, if you have a smaller garden or enjoy the exercise, a push mower might be more suitable (and budget-friendly).
  4. Grass disposal: Do you prefer bagging, mulching, or side discharge for your grass clippings? Each option has its pros and cons, so think about what will work best for your garden maintenance routine.
  5. Noise and emissions: Some petrol mowers can be quite loud and produce more emissions than electric models. Look for mowers with quieter engines and lower emission ratings if noise and environmental impact are concerns for you

To wrap things up, why not add a bit of comfort to your mowing? Features like padded handles and easy-start systems can make a world of difference. So, there you have it, folks! You're ready to take your lawn maintenance to the next level with a petrol lawn mower.
